About Hideaway Hollow Outfitters: Hideaway Hollow Outfitters is commited to safety and excellence on all hunting and fishing trips. Hideaway Hollow outfitters is a mobile hunting and fishing operation that is based in Wisconsin, and travels around the state in pursuit of the best hunting and fishing opportunities the state has to offer. HHO started its operation guiding turkey and waterfowl hunts. Capt. Matt Raley is also gaining reputation as being the go to muskie and trophy walleye guide in northern Wisconsin. Capt. Matt is one of only a couple Licensed U.S Coast Guard Captains operating in Northern Wisconsin and on the Mississipi River. HHO guides waterfowl trips on pools 9 and 11 of the Mississippi River, Northern Wisconsin, and Green Bay. Turkey hunts take place in Zone one and three around the towns of Stevens Point and Potosi WI. Capt. Matt fishes full time during the summer months on Vilas and Oneida county lakes. On all hunting trips fishing can be added as a half day option. Meet The Crew: Capt. Matt Raley Owner/Lead guide My name is Capt. Matt Raley and I am twenty-seven years old. I grew up in southwest WI along the mississippi River. I started guiding at the age of 16 taking friends and family turkey hunting. During my college years I started guiding field goose hunts along turkey and duck hunts. In the summer months I worked for a fishing club in Northern WI guiding fishing trips. After two years of work there while gaining experience I decided to license my company and get my U.S Coast Guard captains license so I could guide on the big waters around Wisconsin. I started guiding waterfowl hunts on the Mississippi River during my last year of college. After college I decided to make guiding my full time career. I now run full time spring turkey hunts, duck hunts and fishing trips in Wisconsin. After the Wisconsin waterfowl season is over I head to Texas and team up with Coastal waterfowl at Castaway Lodge to guide waterfowl hunts. I have been all over North America, the Caribean, Cental America, and South Africa hunting and fishing. I have been on many guided trips around the world so I know how to run a great memorable trip. My main goal is for everyone to have a safe and memorable trip. We hope to exceed all aspects of your expectations. Here at HHO we strive for excellence.
Capt. Jeff Van Remortel Waterfowl Guide Jeff joined HHO in the summer of 2009. He specializes in duck hunting and guides waterfowl trips in Northern WI, Green Bay, and Lake Michigan. Jeff grew up in Green Bay and knows the area very well. Jeff has many contacts in the area getting on private lands for optimal hunting where others can not access. He owns Jollywoods csonsulting forestry working in Northern WI during the week, where he is on the road "working" while scouting for his next waterfowl shoot.
Capt. Abe Forester Turkey Guide Abe joined HHO in the winter of 2008 and specializes in turkey hunts in zone three and off shore duck hunts on Lake Michigan. During the Spring of 2009 working with Abe was a pleasure since I knew whomever was hunting with him was aways going to have good time in he fied and was always on birds. Abe definitly exceeded my expectations for a professional guide, with many positive remarks from the hunters.
Brett Olson Turkey Guide Brett joined the HHO team in the spring of 2010. He is a turkey guide in zone one. He has been calling turkeys since he was nine and has been hunting turkeys in the area for over 10 years. His guiding bug came early when he started taking people out when he was just 14 yrs old. The reason why I added Brett to the team was he grew up in the area, had a positive attitude that I knew clients would relate to well, and ofcouse the biggest reason the man knows how to kill turkeys.
