Spring Snow Goose Hunting in South Dakota and Missouri

There is nothing like snow goose hunting during the spring conservation season. Once you do a spring goose hunt you will be addicted. The great thing about the spring snow goose hunt is you get to marvel at the massive amount of birds work your spread. All you have to do is sit there and watch the show! Enjoy watching birds dip and dive into the decoys by the hundreds if not thousands at a time. Harvesting over 100 birds a day is not uncommon, and killing over 2oo can happen as long as you bring enough shells and shooters! I start guiding snow goose hunts in TX and run the longest out of any outfitter. I hunt snow geese from December through April. I am very knowledgeable on snow geese habits and know how to knock down big numbers when others are scratching their heads.
Hunts are run from late February-Early April for migrating snow geese in MO and SD. We also hunt snows in the conservation season in TX in Late January early February (check tx hunting page for more info). We target juvy birds not the massive push of adults. Many outfitters run after the large adult flocks, but those are the hardest birds to kill and move the fastest trying to get back to their breeding grounds.
The most effective and realistic decoys on the market are full bodies. This is why we run them. They are way more expensive to run thats why most guide service run silosocks and rags. But outfitters running those will you will doing most of your shooting at 40+ yrds since snow geese are very smart and have seen spreads from Canada to Texas and then from Texas to Canada. We are committed to getting these birds feet down and in your face. Thats what hunting should be all about.
These are full day hunts, we usually take a break mid-day and get some food and head back out for the afternoon shoot. Pricing (special $250 for a full day hunt, lodging/Dinner or $235 for hunt/lodging). These are full day hunts for the price - Morning and afternoons. If you wish to sit all day you are more than welcome to do that as well, but most days we take a mid-day break and get lunch at a local restaurant. Chasing snow geese you will be on the move we do not camp out in fields and hope for the best. There will always be at least one guide scouting birds for the following days hunt to ensure we are always on the X! Our MO hunts Start off in Maryville and our SD hunts will start in Emery
